PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

MC-15 is a non-halogenated nitrogen flame retardant, it is composed with melamine and cyanurate by our own process. When incorporated into polyamide, it shows high processing stability and no migration.

MC-15 differs in its mode of action from halogenated flame retardants in the fire. On the one hand MC-15 is not caustic to equipment and mould in the processing; on the other hand when the polyamide foams on exposure to flame, the carbon foam layer so formed protects the polymer through its heat-insulating effect to reduce further oxygen access. By addition MC-15 , the smoke density and toxic smoke gases reduce. At the same time there are no thrill halogen hydride gases to produce.

APPLICATIONS

MC-15 may be mostly used in a series of polyamide, glass fiber modified polyamide, polyurethane foam and polyester, especially polyamide, which is suitable for processing of sorts, for example extrusion and injection moulding. Moreover the polyamide by addition MC-15 can be gone on a wheel to recycle.

These data are just supplied to consult, you must change the addition level slightly in fact.

MC-15 Effect on the properties of polyamide

The mechanical properties of polyamide are slightly altered by addition of MC-15.

MC-15 is non-hygroscopic. However, when stored in an open container, the product can still absorb small amounts of moisture owing to the surface area of the powder. The nylon granules is hygroscopic.

Hence it is advisable to store MC-15 and plastics granules containing MC-15 in sealed containers at room temperature in a dry place.

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

The plastics addition MC-15 is suitable for extrusion and injection moulding applications.  The processing temperature should not exceed 350℃,otherwise it will be caused formation of decomposition product. Predrying MC-15 is not generally necessary.

The plastics granules modified MC-15 can be extruded and injected time and time not to bring color and badness responses else.

Safety and toxicity

MC-15 is innocuous, safety step should be used owing to that the powder is very fine.
